Office in the WTC Amsterdam — staff restaurant with round tables, striped seating niches and planters

Project

For a global petrochemical and chemical group, we delivered the bespoke interior for a new office environment on two floors, where reception, individual work, meetings, hospitality and relaxation are linked together by a consistent choice of materials. A key element is the generous reception desk in natural stone and stainless steel; we also produced bespoke work for lockers, cloakrooms, pantries, display furniture, meeting rooms and the club area, among others.

Approach

The scale and variety of the project called for many different kinds of bespoke work within one recognisable interior language.

Among other things, we made upholstered benches, integrated phone-booth workstations, wall-to-wall cabinetry, meeting furniture, a bar, large and small kitchens, high tables and an extensive lunch area. Technical services such as lighting, power points and locker systems were also integrated into the bespoke work.

Detail

Greenery plays a striking role in the interior. Throughout the office, we made dozens of bespoke planters in various shapes and sizes, from compact round elements to large curved planters and a complete plant wall. They separate workstations, seating areas and walkways in a natural way.

The lunch area, too, is expressly designed as a place to linger, with fixed benches, a window bar, high tables, a central bar and a large kitchen. The combination of upholstery, wood-look finishes, tiles, stainless steel and integrated greenery gives the office a warm, hospitality-like feel.
